My massage therapy practice is built on a foundation of mutual trust and respect.
As a condition of working with me, all clients agree to the policies below. They're non-negotiable. If you don't support any of my policies, that means our values aren't aligned and you can't be my client.
Privacy Policy
Prior to your first appointment, you will be required to complete a confidential health history form online. This form must be updated once a year or any time there are significant changes to your health history (ex. surgery, major illness or diagnosis).
The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care.
Cancellation Policy
As a sole practitioner, 100% of my income comes from my valued clients.
When you cancel on short notice, my livelihood is jeopardized. You're also taking an appointment away from someone else who could benefit from my care.
I have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy.
If you cancel, reschedule, or shorten your appointment with less than 24 hours' notice, for any reason, you will be charged 50% of your appointment fee as a late cancellation fee. If you do not show for your appointment or are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged the full cost of your appointment.
(Please note these charges will not be reimbursed by your insurance, as you did not receive a treatment.)
No, really, ANY REASON: Illness, injury, emergency, zombies...
The lone exception: If you fill your spot, I'll waive the fee.
Think of your massage like a theatre ticket. If you can't make it, you either send a friend in your place or absorb the cost.
It's not a punishment; it's a protection of my most valuable resource - my time.
The good news? I honour my policy in reverse! If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next massage is free. I value your time and request the same in kind.
